From the founder Why I built LightVision
I'm Matt — a wedding and event photographer. I love the shoot. I love meeting the people I get to capture, and I love the craft of a finished edit. What I could never love was the bit in between: the culling. Hundreds of frames, five near-identical takes of every moment, squinting to work out who had their eyes open. My brain would just avoid it.
The night it clicked, I was on the tube home from a 50th at Kensington Rowing Club — a lovely evening, nothing dramatic — already dreading the days of sorting ahead. I tried the AI cullers out there and was honestly shocked at how poor they were. So I built my own: one that learns from your past Lightroom edits and culls and finishes the way you would, right there on your own machine.
Then it kept growing — a low-light rescue, face restore, an eye-saver that borrows open eyes from a nearby frame, search that actually knows your images. And once the hard part was easy, the rest followed: bookings, client galleries, a print store, payments — until it became a complete photography business in one place.
As a photographer, I know the difference it makes. Now I can't wait to see how it helps everyone else.
Made with love,
Matt · Founder, LightVision
